Paisley is a place of radicals and poets with a name known around the world because of its globally-recognised pattern. The town boasts an impressive array of architectural gems, from Victorian era landmarks to Art Deco landmarks—with a landscape framed by a skyline of steeples and spires and the second largest concentration of listed buildings anywhere in Scotland.

Paisley is a place with a unique heritage and attractions, host to great events, live music and festivals such as Paisley Food & Drink Festival, the British Pipe Band Championships and the popular Paisley Halloween Festival—the town fast becoming one of Scotland’s must-visit destinations.

It’s not just the charms of Paisley town centre that attract visitors. Renfrewshire is home to some idyllic, leafy villages such as Lochwinnoch, Howwood and Bridge of Weir. Both the bustling city of Glasgow and the beautiful surroundings of the countryside are within easy reach.

Paisley is a great destination for all—whether you’re looking to explore the outdoors on one of the many walking and cycling routes, enjoy some culinary delights and live entertainment of take in the stunning built heritage that distinguishes the area.

The new Paisley.is destination brand showcases everything that makes Paisley and Renfrewshire a great place to visit. The brand was co-created with local people and businesses across Renfrewshire and sparked a global conversation that reached 170,000 people. The new brand reflects what people say Paisley is—bold, friendly, honest, good fun, together and proud.

The new destination brand for Paisley is a key part of a wider plan to develop the area’s visitor economy and promote it as a great place to live, work and invest.

This growing sense of place is supported by over £100m investment in major infrastructure projects, now and in the future, including the £42m revamp of Paisley Museum to create a world-class visitor attraction by 2022.

Backed up by a new website—www.paisley.is—and social media presence, the destination brand will signpost to everything we want the world to know about Paisley and Renfrewshire.
