From walking tours and short films to poems and graphic novels – find out all about the amazing work of the Art Boss creative group!

Art Boss is a young producers programme, based in Paisley, for care experienced young people and young carers.

The programme offers young people the chance to learn about planning and producing creative projects and events. It is supported by OneRen and Youth Services.

Art Boss have collaborated with Lateral North to create an audio tour which allows you to explore the town’s musical history. The amazing tour allows you to discover the musical works uncovered in Paisley’s medieval abbey, the work of famous Paisley poet Robert Tannahill, the town’s famous Punk scene and the stories of modern artists.

The group played a role in Paisley’s Sma’ Shot Day events in 2020, producing this poem inspired by a piece called Shake The Dust by Anis Mojgani.

They also created a brilliant short film to showcasing all the creative projects the members completed throughout 2020, including:

  • Producing a graphic novel with a professional designer – set to launch next year
  • Taking part in the online edition of Paisley’s Sma’ Shot Day celebrations with their heart-warming poem ‘This Is For The’ thanking everyone who has helped them through lockdown. Find out more here.
  • Creating spectacular Halloween short film which premiered on RenTV
