RSPB Lochwinnoch Nature Reserve

Largs Road, Lochwinnoch PA12 4JF
Open: Saturday and Sunday, 10am – 4pm
This is an area with a rich history – the land was historically owned by the Semple (Sempill) family who date back to c1470 – 1733 and the ruins of Peel Tower, hidden away in the grounds, tell of myth and rumour – was witchcraft involved in the tower’s demise? But now established as a nature reserve, this is family favourite easily accessible by trail, and the beautiful wetland has two lochs, a woodland trail and two wildlife viewing hides.

Fancy trying some pond dipping and bug hunting? Of course you do! These fun activities and more are on offer at the nature reserve.
