There’s so much to keep your little terrors (young and old) busy on the Saturday. Make sure you don’t miss the Paisley Halloween parade, a festival highlight, make sure you drop in on the silent disco for a boogie and look out for street performances around every corner!

Spark LED drummers lead Halloween parade

Dark Circus Parade
Route through Paisley Town Centre
6.30pm to 7.30pm

Roll up, roll up, as the dark circus parade takes over the streets! Led by our sinister ringmaster Svengali who will command his troupe of twisted circus performers.

Watch as a giant lion (puppet) chases down voodoo acrobats in its path as they tumble along the parade route and dozens of frightful fire performers swing torches and juggle with flames.

A coven of community groups will join the parade alongside creepy clowns, macabre magicians and jinxed jugglers to create a truly spooky spectacle, all accompanied by live music from the Paisley Halloween Festival favourites Spark! LED Drummers and Mr Wilson’s Second Liners New Orleans meets 90s rave band.

Costume Making Workshop

ReMode at The Haberdashery

2pm – 4pm

Bring along your own ideas, an incomplete costume you need some help with or work with our makers to develop and make anything from traditional witches and spooks to zombies and ghouls with a contemporary twist!

We have the materials and the tools, all you need is the ghoulish imagination!

11am – 1pm

There will also be another creative craft session on the Saturday before the Paisley Halloween Festival if you want to get your spooky costumes ready in plenty of time before the big event.

Eerie East

Into the Dark – Aerial Spectacular
Paisley Abbey, Gauze Street
Various times between 2pm – 9pm

“They fly through the air with the greatest of ease, the daring acrobats on the flying trapeze!”
Raise your gaze to the skies and wonder at our aerial fairground, in the air! Skilled performers will take on death-defying stunts and leave you breathless as they bring the magic and illusion of the circus to the audience all on top of their soaring haunted carousel.
Professional aerialists from Scotland’s leading aerial company All or Nothing will join a cast of local young people to create this dramatic sky borne performance.

Circus Stage
Gauze Street
2pm to 9pm

Roll up, roll up and wonder at our spectacular circus performers including Paisley Halloween favourites, Spark! LED drummers and Mr Wilson’s Second Liners along with a new cast of misfits and performers. Look out for Big Grey and his fire juggling show, the Black Eagles acrobats, Miss Polly Hoops, contortionist Olivia Roach, plus comedy and dance.

Exhibition of Excess
Abbey Gardens
2pm to 9pm, performances at various times

A series of curious booths inspired by Victorian sideshow performers with a contemporary twist. The exhibition will explore modern day culture and society. Expect to see spooky celebrities, rabid reality stars and ghoulish game show hosts.

Terrifying Tales
Paisley Abbey
2pm – 7pm

Prepare to be spooked with gruesome tales of Paisley’s ghosts and ghouls. Join the Village Storytelling Centre for some hair-raising stories.

Suitable for all ages and abilities. No booking required.

Pumpkin Carving
Paisley Abbey
2pm – 9pm

Drop in and carve your Halloween pumpkins in to a piece of scary Halloween art. Adult assistance is welcomed. Suitable for all ages.

Tickets for pumpkin carving cost £2 per pumpkin and you can book your place online here.

Haunted Carnival
Bridge Street
2pm – 10pm

Do you dare to brave the haunted fun fair? Scare yourself on the spooky ghost train, take a ride on our vintage carousel or take on our monster rides that will turn your world upside down!

Height restrictions apply. Prices vary per ride.

Street Theatre
County Square, Gauze Street and Abbey Gardens
2pm to 9pm

Look out for bizarre street theatrics and walk-about performances throughout Paisley town centre this Halloween. Keep your eyes peeled for acrobats, high wire walkers and hula hoop performers. Plus, SPARK! LED drummers will be lighting up the streets, Mr Wilson’s Second Liners will be rallying impromptu raves on street corners and Cirque Bijou will be dancing in the streets with their colourfully lit LED Umbrella performance.

PLUS! International fire theatre company, PyroCeltica, will bring their unique performance to the Coats Memorial Church to delight the crowds.

Sensory Safe Space

This is an inclusive space specially created for individuals with additional support needs and their families and carers. It features sensory items, arts and crafts, visuals, soft lighting, music and comfortable seating.

Support workers from the Disability Resource Centre will be on hand to assist in this space.
