While wall-to-wall sunshine would be lovely, we know it’s a little unrealistic to expect the weather to shine kindly on us ALL summer.

Best to have some ideas and activities on hand for rainy days then…

 

Living Room Fitness 

A good Scottish summer always has its fair share of rain.

So, if you can’t get out and about to exercise, don’t fret, Renfrewshire Leisure are ready to help you keep fit from the comfort of your own home, thanks to a series of online workouts, exercises and sports tasters.

 


Swimming

If you don’t want to get caught in the rain but still fancy making a splash, why not take the family to one of Renfrewshire Leisure’s swimming pools?  Enjoy pool facilities at the following times:

    • Sat – Sun: 10am – 4pm

Get Into Summer activities

Enjoy a wide-range of free summer fun-filled activities for children, young people and families this summer. These events will let families, children and young people reconnect, help you get active and boost your mental health and wellbeing after a long period of lockdown.

These events take place from Monday 28 June to Sunday 8 August and are part of the national Get Into Summer campaign funded by the Scottish Government.

All activities are free of charge to attend, but in order to follow Covid-19 guidance, places must be booked in advance.

Discover the benefits of sharing stories, songs and rhymes with your wee one by joining in a virtual Bookbug session.

Renfrewshire Libraries are now open to ‘click and collect’ a huge selection of books from each of their 12 libraries. Is there anything better than getting lost in a good book on a rainy day?

RenTV offers fantastic films and videos from across Renfrewshire Leisure’s services. Enjoy films exploring the area’s rich heritage, music shows and gigs, theatre performances, workshops and activities and sport at home.

 


PAC to the Future

Enjoy a celebration of the Paisley Arts Centre, looking back over 34 years of cultural programming.

The famous venue and cultural hub is currently undergoing a transformation as part of a wider investment in Paisley’s venues and outdoor spaces.

During the refurb, you can watch fantastic online music shows, local films, panel discussions and reunions with creatives involved in the earliest days of the Arts Centre and lots more.
