Dragged Up formed in late 2018, in Glasgow, with members from Trembling Bells, Vom, The Owsley Sunshine and Las Mitras. Their debut mini-album ‘D/U’ was released in 2020, show-casing their seamless cross-pollination of doom, psych, proto-punk, garage, and spoken word, to positive reviews and critical acclaim.
They have opened shows for acts such as Acid Mothers Temple, White Hills, No Age, Bo Ningen and Large Plants.
Their new EP ‘Hex Domestic’ is released by Cruel Nature Records on September 8th followed by a UK tour.
‘like classic CBGBs proto-punk transplanted to rain-drenched Scottish streets’ (Louder Than War)
‘an all-seeing, culture-cannibalizing slacker classic.’ (Record Collector)
‘Dragged Up’s Hex Domestic EP is a steady progression from D/U. A coalition of oddball sonics with each member bringing something completely different to the table, and the result is an interesting concoction of ideas from a band that is essential to any DIY scene up and down the country.’ (Sun 13)
