British Pipe Band Championships

Saturday 19 May, 2018

The skirl of the bagpipes and the beat of the drums will be your soundtrack to a great day out!

The British Pipe Band Championships are one of THE most prestigious events in the world piping calendar.

Over 150 bands will travel from around the world to the St James’ Playing Fields, Paisley, to compete for a whole series of title.

The championships are at the heart of a great day of fun, with plenty of family activities taking place alongside the bagpiping.

And it’s all free!

This is the third time Paisley has hosted the championships. If you haven’t been before, come and see for yourself what a great day out it is. If you’re a regular…it’ll be nice to see you again!

Explore Paisley after the competition's done

I regularly visit the Paisley Museum and Art Galleries and Paisley Arts Centre and try to attend as many of the festivals and events in the town as possible... I particularly enjoy Sma’ Shot Day.
