Out of Place Festival

Wednesday 8 - Sunday 26 May, 2019

The arts are transforming…and they’re coming to you!

While cultural venues are undergoing a well-deserved revamp, Renfrewshire Leisure will be bringing interactive workshops, theatre and performances to all sorts of spaces and places near you.

Still to come…

Letters We Leave Behind

Tuesday 21 – Thursday 23 May, 12pm–4pm
POP, Piazza Shopping Centre

A unique, distinctive and personal interactive installation that embraces engaging puppetry, distinctive props, engrossing found objects and a series of hand written letters that participants can read in the space.

Participants enter the space and manipulate the puppets, who in-turn impart letters that reveal a story that looks at mental health and well-being. Letters We Leave Behind is designed for adults with autism.

The Choraphone

Tuesday 28 & Wednesday 29 May, 12pm-4pm
POP, Piazza Shopping Centre

The Choraphone is a mesmerising interactive music and projection installation – a controllable virtual vocal ensemble. Using simple controllers, participants can play the choir, creating vocal harmony melody and rhythm. Based around a verse from The Braes of Balquhidder by Paisley poet Robert Tannahill, the piece combines projection and sound in a unique immersive experience.

The Two Renies present
