It’s starting to heat up in Renfrewshire with a host of spectacular events taking place this spring and summer!

The area’s bumper events calendar begins with the Paisley Food and Drink Festival on 26-27 April.

One of the largest outdoor food and drink events in Scotland, the two-day festival will see more than 40 traders and vendors showcase the very best produce and street food from across Scotland.

May will see the return of the British Pipe Band Championships at St James Playing Fields in Paisley. Up to 130 bands will battle it out at this year’s competition on Saturday 18 May.

Paisley’s annual Sma’ Shot Day celebration (one of the oldest workers’ festivals in the world) will take place on Saturday 6 July.

This traditional Paisley holiday takes its name from a famous dispute between the local shawl weavers and the manufacturers over an unseen but crucial thread binding the garments together – the sma’ shot stitch.

Gin is continuing to be a really popular choice and, whether you’re a gin enthusiast or just looking to expand your horizons by trying something new, we look forward to seeing you at Paisley Food and Drink Festival this April.
