Paisley cultural venues

Renfrewshire Council and its partners are putting investment in culture and heritage at the heart of everything we do.

Harnessing the power of Paisley’s internationally-significant story, we aim to transform the area’s future.

The next stage of that journey is happening now. An exciting range of projects are designed to benefit all of Renfrewshire.

Paisley Museum Reimagined

Paisley Museum is being transformed into an international-class attraction housing the town’s outstanding collections and bringing to the life the stories of its people, Pattern, and much more.

When it reopens, the revamped museum will bring visitors into the town from throughout Scotland, the UK and abroad. It is expected to attract 125,000 visits a year -creating volumes of new footfall and trade for Paisley’s town centre.

Paisley Town Hall

Paisley Town Hall has been a striking centrepiece at the heart of life in the town for the last 140 years – and the £22m transformation happening now will keep it there for many more.

When work is complete, the inside of the 19th-century architectural gem will have been turned into a 21st-century facility and a landmark entertainment venue for the west of Scotland.

Paisley Learning and Cultural Hub

The Paisley Learning and Cultural Hub will be a new modern community and educational facility which will bring new footfall to the town centre.

When it opens, the building will provide a new digitally-connected home for a range of services, including those currently offered at Paisley Central Library.

The new facility is the latest example of how Renfrewshire Council is helping repopulate the town’s High Street by finding new cultural and community uses for vacant retail property.
