Sure, the music will be great, but we’ve got loads more going on at this year’s British Pipe Band Championships.

Kids Zone

The Street Stuff team will be there all day, and they’re bringing their bus with them! Not just any old bus…this one has games consoles and much more (and free wi-fi). The team will also be bringing their usual football fun and games.

If the oval ball is more your thing, Paisley Rugby Club have an on-site fun day with rugby-related skills and passing challenges, prize giveaways and an obstacle course.

Yet more sporting fun is on offer with the Renfrewshire Leisure Zone – sports activities and a climbing wall brought to you by the Active Sports team at Renfrewshire Leisure.

Everyone enjoys a funfair and with some thrill rides, as well as smaller kids rides and bungee trampolines for the little ones, there’s plenty at this funfair to enjoy. Please note -these rides will be chargeable.

With free inflatables and facepainting also on-site, it’s bound to be a fun day.

Highland dancing

This is always a highlight of the day, and every bit as competitive as the pipe band competition…

Watch out for the Pas de Basque, the Highland Fling, Flora MacDonald’s Fancy and the Sailor’s Hornpipe!

Grab a bite to eat or enjoy a drink

Our Food and Drink Village will have a range of outlets serving the very best of Scottish and international cuisine. You can also enjoy a drink at one of our fully-licensed bars, which this year will include champagne and gin bars.
