The sun has been shining on Paisley – and the good weather looks set to continue this weekend.
It’s a big weekend for the town with the annual Sma’ Shot Day celebrations and Weave Festival taking place.
The popular multi-arts festival celebrates Paisley’s rich history of weaving and radicalism, encapsulated in the famous victory of the town’s weavers in the historic sma’ shot dispute.
Take a look at just a few of the things you definitely shouldn’t miss at the event on Saturday.
Sma’ Shot Parade
The traditional Sma’ Shot Parade begins at Brodie Park at 12pm before making its way into Paisley town centre. This year’s colourful parade is inspired by the weavers’ holiday trip ‘doon the watter’ and is co-ordinated by Bridgeman Arts, in collaboration with community groups, performers and musicians. Make sure you don’t miss the reveal of a spectacular paddle steamer float!
