Amazing job opportunities to play a key role in Paisley’s future

Friday 4th May, 2018

Do you want to work in a place investing in the transformational power of culture?

It’s a really exciting time for the area as it builds on the momentum generated by Paisley’s bid for UK City of Culture 2021 and drives forward Paisley’s legacy plan.

Five brand new job positions have opened across Renfrewshire Council and Renfrewshire Leisure – and all of them will have a key role to play in what Paisley does next.

The Strategic Lead – Paisley Partnership is a senior role within Renfrewshire Council and will be at the forefront of Paisley’s cultural regeneration. The post will lead the delivery of Paisley’s legacy plan – including building our economy, changing perceptions, lifting communities out of poverty and transforming our town centre – as well as maximising the activities of our Paisley Partnership.

This post will be supported by a new Cultural Regeneration Officer to lead and deliver on these exciting plans for Paisley’s future.

Renfrewshire Council is also seeking an experienced and enthusiastic PR and Marketing Officer to join the marketing, events and communication team. This role will help promote the new destination brand by devising visitor campaigns and creative PR to continue shining a spotlight on Paisley and Renfrewshire both nationally and internationally.

Renfrewshire Leisure is also looking for a Heritage Manager to play a key role in local heritage and community sectors. This will support the development of the Paisley Museum Reimagined project, the services for the town’s new publicly accessible museum store and Paisley Museum’s reopening.

The fifth role in the recruitment drive is a new Arts Manager to build on the legacy of Paisley’s bid for UK City of Culture 2021. The Arts Manager will build a talented team and lead on the long-term development of the relationships, partnerships and working culture which support creativity and the arts across Renfrewshire.

If you are interested in any of the roles above, you can find out more and apply with MyJobScotland and Renfrewshire Leisure.

I don't live in Paisley, but I work there, and I love walking up from the train station and looking over towards the town hall, seeing the usual people walking about and saying 'Hello'.
