5 great pubs to watch the World Cup Final 2018 in Paisley

The FIFA 2018 World Cup is coming to a close – and what a tournament it’s been.

There’s been no shortage of drama, with plenty of goals, standout performances and VAR tension to keep football fans on the edge of their seats.

It’s all come down to a hotly anticipated final between France and Croatia in Moscow which kicks off at 4pm on Sunday 15 July.

A number of pubs in Paisley town centre have been showing all of the games live – and here are just some of the great spots where you can watch the big final in the town.


Gabriels have added an extra flavour to the tournament with promotional World Cup burgers and a special deal to add a drink to your meal for just £1. The restaurant is open from 12pm-9pm at weekends, so you can tickle your taste buds while enjoying the action.

The Bull Inn

Enjoy the final in the striking surroundings of an A-listed building dating back to 1901. The Bull Inn is one of the most popular pubs in Paisley and will be showing the game live. Boasting a proud and ever-changing selection of real ales, the Bull also offers a 10% discount on ales for Renfrewshire Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) members. There are a number of cosy booths equipped with TVs to watch the games which you can book online or in the pub.

Wee Howff

Describing itself as ‘the best wee pub in the world’, The Wee Howff on Paisley’s High Street is always bustling with fun and excitement. The pub boasts several big screens, each providing a great view for the football – and who knows, you may even bump into an international rock star who likes to pop by before the match.

Burger and Keg has been transformed into a World Cup Fanzone, with every game shown on its 135” jumbo screen. The pub and restaurant on Paisley’s Gilmour Street, has also been offering a special World Cup inspired cocktail and tasty slider menu with a host of deals and bar snacks during the festival of football.
