Now, these look intriguing…
These are just some of the many quirky installations in POP – a brand new arts space for Paisley.
The POP space is located in the old Post Office shop in the Piazza Shopping Centre. It is being leased by Renfrewshire Leisure from a company called Edinburgh Printmakers – who specialise in finding uses for empty shop spaces.
The fun starts with a grand opening on 3 & 4 May when POP will have free community events from 12pm-4pm including family-friendly crafts, community conversations, music performances and local film screenings.
POP will also play a big part in the Renfrewshire Mental Health Arts Festival this May. It will be host venue for the launch event on 7 May before hosting an Open Art Exhibition (8-12 May), a screening of mindfulness documentary Walk With Me (12 May) and an afternoon of board game workshops (21 May).

Here’s another important bit…
POP is open for people to use – free of charge.
Individuals and groups in Renfrewshire who are making music, arts and crafts, or interested in mindfulness and wellbeing, can book a space by contacting Kate Drummond, Renfrewshire Leisure’s Arts Project Producer (details below).
