If you like Ska or 2tone and you haven’t seen Pork Pie in action then you really need to get along to The Bungalow tonight (Friday 16 March) for a fantastic evening.
Porkpie are an 8-piece band comprising of male and female vocalists, keyboards, bass guitar, electric guitar and drums and a three piece horn section.
The band are now one of the highest respected of its kind, having performed at major international venues all around the globe, appearing at coveted events such as international award ceremonies and media covered celebrity events.
Expect a high energy mix of soul, ska, swing and classic pop that will get you dancing all
Pork Pie play The Bungalow on Friday 16 March. Tickets are £6 and starts at 8pm.
Tomorrow night (Saturday 17) sees The M65s play a host of mod/indie classic at The Bungalow with regular DJ Boab is in support with a mod/ska/soul set.
The gig starts at 6pm and tickets are £3 on the door – with £2 going to Ruby Whitelaw who is raising funds for her Malawi Project.
The Cave has another great line-up this weekend, starting with Audiorayz tonight (Friday 16) at 9pm.
Audiorayz are well known on the live scene and they are led by Iain Forbes. Iain has been carving out a great reputation as a guitarist and singer and is considered a virtuoso by many who know him.
Iain is joined by ace musicians Alan Parker on Drums, Kenny MacLean on Bass guitar and Mikey Grant on Keyboards.
Audiorayz’s musical influences are broad but include classic rock and melodic music of any genre.
As fans of legendary guitar acts from the past such as Jimi Hendrix, The Who, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin and The Doors it may be easy to see why the band have a retro Classic Rock vibe going on.
Taking the early slot at 6pm tomorrow (Saturday 17) is one of Paisley’s best known bands, Underwood Lane.
Later, at 9pm, Swagger will take to the stage and Sunday (Sunday 18) sees The Naked Feedback from 6pm.
The Old Swan have another great week of live music starting with 2 Bob Rocket tonight (Friday 16) at 8pm. Tomorrow (Saturday 17) at 4pm, they are having a Paddy’s Day Double Header with The Record Players followed by The Spuds.
The Spuds are back on Monday from 3pm for the Monday Club and on Wednesday the duo Cobbler Bob will be playing from 6pm.
At The Anchor on Sunday, from 4pm, Loanhead will be thumping their way through some classic tunes and on Monday, from 4pm, it is Jen McLauchlan.
The Burger and Keg have Graeme Kerr in tonight at 9pm and The Tea Gardens have the very popular duo Sad Ida playing on Sunday at 6pm.
