Watch Paisley Opera’s stunning home performance to thank essential workers

Tuesday 28th July, 2020

Paisley Opera members have come together (in isolation) for a stunning performance to thank all NHS staff, essential workers and services.

The volunteer chorus was due to launch its latest production ‘A Paisley Kiss’ this month – but with restrictions currently in place due to the coronavirus pandemic, members are now aiming to bring it to the town next year.

In the meantime, Paisley Opera have released a special recording of the beautiful Easter Hymn as a special thank you to NHS staff and essential workers who have supported us all during this time.

The group’s adaptation of Mascagni’s Cavalleria Rusticana was recorded in isolation before being brought together in one spectacular video, showcasing each member’s wonderful talent.

You can watch the performance of Easter Hymn from ‘A Paisley Kiss’ with the video below.

Paisley Opera began three years ago with a phrase ‘Passion Not Posh’ and an invitation to sing.

The group prides itself on providing the opportunity to sing supported by professional singers and musicians.
