Teen thrills and chills at Paisley Halloween Festival

No matter your age this year’s Halloween fright fest will be a scream with plenty of activities to take part in and enjoy!

Dark Circus Parade – Route through Paisley Town Centre – (Saturday only) 6.30pm to 7.30pm

Roll up, roll up, as the dark circus parade takes over the streets! Led by our sinister ringmaster Svengali who will command his troupe of twisted circus performers along the extended parade route joined by dozens of frightful fire performers swing torches and juggle with flames.

A coven of community groups will join the parade alongside creepy clowns, macabre magicians and jinxed jugglers to create a truly spooky spectacle.

NEW LONGER PARADE ROUTE: Smithhills Street – Gauze Street – St Mirren Brae – Causeyside Street – New Street – Witherspoon Street – Storie Street – High Street – University of the West of Scotland

There will be some fantastic street theatre Dark Circus acts in town on Friday evening before they take to the streets and the live Circus Stage on Saturday.

Visitors can see the ever-popular Spark! LED Drummers, Mr Wilson’s Second Liners, Miss Polly Hoops, Men in Slacks, LED Umbrellas, Pyroceltica and the festival ringmaster, Big Grey.

CREEPY CENTRAL

Silent Disco – Dunn Square – various times

Come along and bust a move to your favourite tracks at the festival’s new Silent Disco in Dunn Square with three channels to choose from there will be tunes to suit all tastes. A family ticket is £14 while adult tickets are £5 and kids are £3.

EERIE EAST

Aerial performances – Abbey Gardens – various times

Head along to Abbey Gardens on Friday can get a sneak preview of the Into the Dark aerial performances as the Dark Circus takes to the sky before their full performances at various times on Saturday.

Viewers will be dazzled by the aerial work and ground based choreography led by Scotland’s leading dance company, All or Nothing, before their full goalpost and crane performances on Saturday featuring a number of local community groups.

 

Circus Stage – Gauze Street – Saturday 26 October 2pm – 9pm

Roll up, roll up and wonder at our spectacular circus performers including Paisley Halloween favourites, Spark! LED drummers and Mr Wilson’s Second Liners along with a new cast of misfits and performers. Look out for Big Grey, the Black Eagles acrobats, Miss Polly Hoops, plus comedy and dance.

Haunted Carnival – Bridge Street – 2pm – 10pm

Daredevils can take on the haunted fun fair. Scare yourself on the spooky ghost train, take a ride on the vintage carousel or take a spin on one of the many rides that will turn your world upside down!

Height restrictions apply. Prices vary per ride.

 

Exhibition of Excess – Abbey Gardens – various times

If you’re near Abbey Gardens check out the Exhibition of Excess – curious booths inspired by Victorian sideshow performers with a contemporary twist.

The exhibition will explore modern day culture and society. Expect to see spooky celebrities, rabid reality stars and ghoulish game show hosts. It will also feature young performers from PACE Youth Theatre and professional street theatre performer Richard Headon (The Desperate Men).
