There’s a jam-packed weekend of activity ahead in Paisley and Renfrewshire with plenty for everyone to enjoy.
Here, we’ll take a closer look at some of the big events and activities taking place in the area over the next few days – and hopefully we’ll give you some ideas for things to do.
Paisley Prosecco Festival
The UK’s biggest and most exciting dedicated fizz and prosecco festival is coming to Paisley Town Hall this weekend! Enjoy a fine selection of Brut, Spumante and Cava as the big party band get you moving on the dance floor. Plus, each entry ticket includes a free glass of Prosecco!

Paisley Artists Exhibition
Local art society, Paisley Artists, will be showcasing Renfrewshire’s artistic talent with this exhibition at Paisley Museum. Come along and see the range of styles, subjects and media on display – and many of the works available to purchase. While at the museum, why not explore the range of exhibitions and treasures, including the world-renowned Paisley Pattern and the Paisley Shawl collection.

The annual Paisley 10k takes place this weekend with thousands of experienced and novice runners set to take on the road race and fun run through the town. If you’re not taking part, why not come along and cheer on the runners – many of whom will be raising funds for great causes. Activities begin at Paisley’s County Square at 9:40am with the Paisley 10k starting at 10am. Winners will be presented with their medals around 11.30am.

Clydeside Cruisers Car Show
See a host of fantastic cars from restored classics to customs, pick up trucks and bikes at the Clydeside Cruisers Car Show in Lochwinnoch. If you fancy entering your vehicle in the show, make sure you’re at the field before 11am. There’s a £2 entry fee per vehicle and driver and a category for best Sunday entry.
When: Sunday 19 August, 12pm – 4pm

Price: £2 per person / £1 OAP / Under 16’s free
