The Paisley Thread Suite

Ken Mathieson’s Jazz Orchestra perform at Paisley Arts Centre in a project, originally conceived as part of Paisley’s 2021 UK City of Culture bid. This jazz suite depicts Paisley’s internationally famous thread industry and the sounds and rhythms of the mills through music. The night features archive film footage, photography and a full set from Ken’s jazz orchestra.

Glasgow Clan v Fife Flyers

The Glasgow Clan makes a long-awaited return to Braehead Arena on Friday evening against old foes the Fife Flyers in Challenge Cup group action. Clan need a regulation win and two points to progress to the knock-out stages of the Challenge Cup, adding an extra edge to this fierce tie.

France v Scotland – UEFA Women’s Under 19 Preparation Tournament

International football returns to Paisley as Scotland Women’s Under-19s step up their preparations for next year’s UEFA Women’s Under-19 Championship. Pauline Hamill’s talented side take on France at the Simple Digital Arena on Saturday lunchtime as part of a Preparation Tournament.

When: Saturday 6 October – 1pm

The Style Councillors

The Style Councillors, the only authentic tribute to The Style Council, comes to The Bungalow. Their show generates rave reviews wherever they go, playing to sold out audiences all over the country. The ensemble is certain to generate a fantastic atmosphere with top hits, including Shout to the Top, You’re the Best Thing, Long Hot Summer and more.
