The countdown is on to Christmas and there’s so many ways to enjoy some festive fun around Renfrewshire this weekend.

From Christmas charity concerts and pantomimes to a spot of dancing and Christmas tree tagging, find out some fantastic ways to spend some family time together with the Paisley.is team.


Provost’s Christmas Charity Concert

Renfrewshire’s Provost Lorraine Cameron invites you to enjoy an evening of entertainment that will get you in the mood for the festive season. Don’t miss fantastic performances from RockUs Community Choir and Renfrew Burgh Band at Paisley Central Methodist Halls. Funds raised at the event will go to Motor Neuron Disease (MND) Scotland.

Jack and the Beanstalk

PACE Theatre Company’s annual Christmas pantomime returns – and it’s one not to be missed! This year’s show tells the legendary tale of Jack and the Beanstalk and stars Chris Alexander, Paul Kozinski, Euan Bennet, Laura Szalecki and Erin Hair. There are shows from now right up until Monday 31 December, so head along to Paisley Arts Centre for a top family show.

Paisley Tango Christmas Milonga

Get on your dancing shoes for another spectacular event from Paisley Tango. The group have hosted the Paisley International Tango Festival over the past two years and will be bringing in the festive season in style with a Christmas Milonga at Abbey Mill Business Centre. Grab a partner and dance the night away at this Argentine tango dance event.

Christmas Tree Tagging

Have you put your Christmas tree up yet? Well, if not, head along to Finlaystone Country Estate and enjoy the family tradition of Christmas Tree Tagging? ‘Tag’ a tree which takes your fancy, write your name and contact number on it and come back any time before Christmas to cut down your very own tree to take home and decorate.

When: Now until Sunday 23 December – 10am – 5pm
