The popular Johnstone Fire Engine Rally returns this weekend and there’s still plenty of time to enjoy spectacular town trails and summer events in the area.

Johnstone Fire Engine Rally – Saturday – 11am – 4pm
Sound the alarm…the popular Fire Engine Rally is coming back to Johnstone on Saturday. Starting at 11am, see fire engines from the past and present as they parade from Johnstone Fire Station down Thorn Brae to Houston Square. Then enjoy an afternoon-long party of free family fun and entertainment, including dramatic demonstrations from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, a visit from Paw Patrol’s resident fire pup Marshall, tasty food, a craft market, kids go-karts and the chance to see some vintage fire engines up close. Plus, take part in the Town Trail before the event and collect eight puzzle pieces from different shops and businesses in the town. LEGO Bricks in Space – Paisley Town Centre – Now until Tuesday 13 August
It’s the last weekend of Paisley First’s summer LEGO Bricks in Space tour. Make sure you don’t miss out on the chance to find the 17 spectacular models in local businesses around the town centre, as well as an interactive play zone and a selfie zone. There’s still enough time to collect your Space Passport from shops throughout Paisley, plus both the Piazza Shopping Centre and The Paisley Centre. intu Braehead Roller Rink – Now until Sunday 11 August
It’s also your last chance to get your skates on at intu Braehead’s roller rink during the summer holidays. The ice rink has been transformed into a roller rink with giant disco ball, suitable for beginners and pros to enjoy while skating to the biggest tunes. Whether it’s a Roller disco date, a fun day out or just for practicing your skating skills, the Roller Rink is the perfect summertime activity for all the family. Sessions run in two-hour slots from 11am to 6pm each day. Please note the rink is not suitable for under 5’s and under 12’s must be accompanied by an adult. Find out more by clicking the link below.

If you’re a George Michael fan then, ahead of the weekend’s activities, head along to The Bungalow and see one of the UK’s premier tribute artists.
