Howwood

Howwood is a small village located in an attractive rural setting amidst the scenic West Renfrewshire Countryside.

Over recent years the village has grown considerably with a number of residential housing developments. The Johnstone-Howwood Bypass, and the Railway Station makes Howwood easily accessible and makes the village an ideal place for commuters and families.

Howwood’s attractions include The Bowfield Hotel and Country Club set in Howwood’s beautiful countryside complete with luxury spa and leisure facilities, the Plumpy Duck Restaurant and Stables Bar. The Boarding House (a refurbished coach house) provides exceptional food in stylish surroundings and The Howwood Trout Fishery provides an excellent location for a spot of fishing.

Howwood Primary School is the only school within the village and the catchment school for secondary education is Johnstone High School
