Could you be a place ambassador for Paisley?

Paisley Welcomes is a new online training platform designed to support businesses within the region as part of our revitalised approach to destination development.

It is one of the key elements of our emerging tourism business network, and is based on the successful Glasgow Welcomes programme.

It provides you with an overview of our Paisley and Renfrewshire as a tourism and visitor destination, and who we are aiming to attract.  It will also give you a refresher on skills and knowledge to deliver excellent service to customers and visitors in your role as an ambassador for our region.

Paisley Welcomes:

  • is free to access.
  • is online and easy to use – and should only take around an hour or less to complete.
  • is suitable for visitor-facing staff and volunteers.

An online module gives a taster of what Paisley and Renfrewshire has to offer to visitors, as well as a refresher on customer service.

For management, Paisley Welcomes is an online platform where we will share information and documents that will help support businesses – from our visitor plan, to updates on events and campaigns.

I was born in Paisley and lived there for 38 years before moving to Canada. I loved the town and the people I met through the years. Like most places, the people make the town, whether they be what you class as good people or not - it doesn't matter, as all the characters make Paisley wonderful as it is.
