The Home Making Documentary Project at The Tannahill Centre, 76 Blackstoun Rd, Paisley PA3 1NT was held from Monday 6th – Friday 10th Aug 2018.

2018’s Home Making Documentary Project captured locals’ memories of making and wearing homemade clothes in Paisley in the 1950’s, 10960’s and 1970’s.

Working as a team with textile artist Gillian Steel volunteers made clothes that people would typically have made at home in the 1950’s, 1960’s and 1970’s.

Working together as a team with film maker Kevin Cameron volunteers also learned the basics of documentary making and animation. The fashion styles of the 1950’s, 1960’s and 1970’s, and film animated & live sequences which could be used in the final documentary.

The workshops were open to young people with existing film making skills as well as complete beginners. Workshops were free to adults and young people aged 10+.
