There will be a number of temporary road closures in the town centre for Paisley Fireworks Spectacular 2018.

Saturday, 3rd November 2018, 0100 hours, and will remain in operation until Sunday, 4th November 2018, 0800 hours

No person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle or cause or permit any motor vehicle to wait or load at any time (except for vehicles engaged in Renfrewshire Council entertainment events and those seeking access to premises by stewards, where timetabling allows) on the following lengths of road, by reason of entertainment events to be held on or near these roads:

Saturday 3rd November (waiting and loading ban only)

From 0100 hours onwards:

  • Bridge Street, from Gordon Street to Cotton Street
  • Gauze Street, from Mill Street to High Street
  • High Street, from Gauze Street to St Mirren Street
  • St Mirren Street, from High Street to Causeyside Street
  • Cotton Street, from Gauze Street to Renfrewshire Council access
  • Lawn Street, from Gauze Street to Silk Street
  • Smithshill Street, from Central Way to Gauze Street
  • County Place, from Moss Street to Gilmour Street
  • Gilmour Street, from County Place to High Street
  • High Street, from Gilmour Street to New Street

From 1000 hours onwards:

  • Seedhill Road, from Cochrane Street to Mill Street
  • Seedhill, from Main Street to Benn Avenue
  • Cochrane Street

From 1200 hours till 2100 hours:

  • Abercorn Street, from Weir Street to Niddrie Street
  • Causeyside Street (East Side Only), from Orchard Street to Johnstone Street
  • Johnstone Street (North Side Only), from Causeyside Street, eastwards for 30m
  • Hawkhead Road, from Glasgow Road to Seedhill Road
  • Underwood Road (North Side Only), from Well Street to Caledonia Street
  • Arkleston Road, from Glasgow Road, northwards for 50m
  • Glasgow Road, from Whitehaugh Drive to Barshaw Park access

 

Saturday 3rd November (closure)

From 0800 hours onwards:

From 1600 hours till 2100 hours:

  • Seedhill Road, from Cochran Street to Mill Street
  • Seedhill, Mill Street to Abbey Mill Gatehouse
  • Cochrane Street
  • Causeyside Street, from New Street to St Mirren Street
  • Forbes Place

From 1845 hours till 2000 hours 

  • Mill Street, from Loanend to Bank Street

Access will be maintained for Emergency Services at all times.  

This notice will only be effective when so displayed by signs in accordance with The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

I regularly visit the Paisley Museum and Art Galleries and Paisley Arts Centre and try to attend as many of the festivals and events in the town as possible... I particularly enjoy Sma’ Shot Day.
