Coats Venue

This magnificent building is embarking on a bright new future as a landmark entertainment and events venue.

The Coats family built the church in 1894 in memory of Thomas Coats – a philanthropist and devout Baptist committed to the wellbeing of Paisley. Initially budgeted at £20,000, costs soared to an estimated £110,000 – over £6,000,000 today.

And once you get inside, you can see why! A church on one level, halls beneath and an eight-arched church crown spire combined to make it largest and most opulent Baptist Church in Britain.

Now, Coats Venue is transitioning to become a multi-functional entertainment hub in a truly unique and stunning setting.

Paisley has an understated beauty. Paisley is the confident, attractive character in the room that doesn’t need to shout about it but still lets you know it’s there. Paisley is a great walking town and you are always likely to discover something new in the streets whether you are exploring for five minutes or five hours.
