There’s eight spectacular buildings and venues to explore in Renfrew as part of this year’s Doors Open Days celebrations in Renfrewshire.

From Disney-esque spires and stunning churches to fire and police stations, take a closer look at all the participating places across Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 September below.


Saturday and Sunday

Renfrew Association of Growers and Gardeners

84 Broadloan Gardens, Broadloan, Renfrew PA4 0BY

Saturday & Sunday, 10am – 4pm

These stunning community allotments will be firing up the BBQ and pressing play on some music to welcome Doors Open Days visitors. Come along and admire the vast array of plants or even purchase a few for your own green space. But watch out for the three-legged fox that roams these allotments – he’s got form for stealing!


Renfrew Leisure Centre

Paisley Road, Renfrew PA4 8LJ

Saturday and Sunday, 9am – 5pm

This modern sports centre includes a gym, 4-court multipurpose sports hall and a full size 11-a-side football pitch.



Renfrew North Parish Church

14 Renfield Street, Renfrew PA4 8TT

Saturday, 10am – 1pm

Featuring gothic revival style architecture, take a tour of this magnificent church with 2-stage spire and beautiful stained-glass windows.


Renfrew Police Office

Station Road, Renfrew PA4 8RP

Saturday, 10am – 4pm

Meet some of the police officers that help keep our streets safe and get a close up look of their equipment, including radios, handcuffs and even get your fingerprints taken!


Renfrew Town Hall

Hairst Street, Renfrew PA4 8PF

Saturday, 10am – 4pm

The Town Hall is an architectural gem that dominates Renfrew’s skyline with its fairy-tale towers and intricate façade. Step inside and have your photo taken in front of any background you like with help from a green screen and take part in the kids quiz.


St Margaret’s Scottish Episcopal Church

Oxford Road, Renfrew PA4 0SJ

Saturday, 10am – 4pm

This petite but pretty church originally began in Manse Street in 1877 when Lord & Lady Blythswood were its patrons. Get arty with craft supplies or test your knowledge with a quiz!


Trinity Church Scotland

13 Paisley Road, Renfrew PA4 8HJ

Saturday, 10am–3pm

There’s plenty to see and admire on a visit to this C-listed church building, opened in 1865.



Renfrew Fire Station

123 Paisley Road, Renfrew PA4 8LJ

Sunday, 9am – 4pm

Take a peek inside this operational fire station, take a seat in one of the fire engines and get fire safety advice from the experts.
