The National Wallace Monument is one of Stirling’s most distinctive landmarks, overlooking the scene of Scotland’s victory at the Battle of Stirling Bridge.
The visitor attraction allows you to follow the story of Sir William Wallace, patriot, martyr, and Guardian of Scotland. Make your way through three exhibition galleries within the Monument; The Hall of Arms, The Hall of Heroes and the Royal Chamber. The Crown at the top of the building is accessed via a spiral staircase, with a total of 246 steps. Once you reach the top you can enjoy 360-degree panoramic views across Scotland’s historical heartland. The attraction also features a café, The Keepers Lodge and a gift shop.
