Clyde Life

Wednesday 28 February, 2018

This new photography display captures the ever-changing landscape of Glasgow’s River Clyde. With over 20 stunning images from Glasgow Museums’ Photo Library, it tells the story of how ‘Glasgow made the Clyde and the Clyde made Glasgow’ over a 200-year period up to the present day. Dramatic photographs are presented in four geographic sections and together convey a sense of the changes witnessed by Scotland’s largest river, from the days of salmon fishing in the Clyde and the rise of heavy industry to more recent times when the Garden Festival’s Coca-Cola Roller coaster sat on the Clydeside.
