Bernat Klein: influence & inspiration – Speakers Dinner

Thursday 10 August, 2023

In celebration of Bernat Klein: influence & inspiration, and High Sunderland: the restoration of a modernist house by Loader Monteith, we are hosting an exclusive evening with dinner and three fantastic speakers.

Guests will be welcomed to the Bernat Klein: influence & inspiration exhibition in the Studio Pavilion for arrival drinks, with a welcome talk by Alison Harley (Chair, Bernat Klein Foundation). Following this the evening will move to the Mackintosh Suite to be seated for a delicious 3 course dinner, offering a modern twist on a menu inspired by Rosie Small (as seen in the BKF Centenary Book). Dinner will be served with accompanying wines, and will close with a talk from Lisa Mason (Assistant Curator, National Museums Scotland). Once coffee is served the evening will finish with words from Iain King (Senior Conservation Architect, Loader Monteith, Architectural Practice), offering an informative talk on High Sunderland: the restoration of a modernist house, and an opportunity to view the exhibition first hand. Each of our speakers will offer the chance for Questions and Answers on their specialised area, providing a unique insight into their connection with Bernat Klein, and the exhibitions.

Included: Arrival drinks reception, 3 course menu with tea & coffee, ½ bottle of wine with dinner and 3 exclusive speakers with the opportunity for Q&A.
