Hear about the amazing Purple Hairstreak butterflies that live in oak trees and are rarely seen up close. This Paisley Natural History Society talk by Kirsty Menzies will reveal how adult butterflies were raised from eggs gathered in local woods. See the tiny newly emerged caterpillar develop through all the different stages to become a chrysalis and then finally an adult butterfly. Guaranteed to leave you wanting to have a go too.
