What’s OnJoin us as we celebrate the Janet Coats Memorial Prize 2024, an annual poetry award given in remembrance of Janet Coats, who originated from the local J&P Coats thread making family and was later involved in the establishment of the James Tait Black Prize in honour of her late husband. Janet was also a talented poet, as well as a great philanthropist in education, health and welfare. In this event, we will hear each of the short-listed poems selected by a panel of the Renfrewshire Makar – Shaun Moore – and two other judges, who will announce the winners of both the adult and young person prizes.
