In our experimental inter-generational series of art classes, adults and young people are invited to attend art classes together to learn processes, create work, support and inspire one another and collaborate. The courses are designed at an adult teaching level with in-depth skills and processes to create considered and professional pieces.
This course explores the discipline of drawing, where concepts of composition and scale, alongside those of line and tone will be analysed. Using a selection of techniques and materials the aim of this course is to complete a final successful art work focused upon observational still life.
Suitable for beginners and those with more experience, individual student requirements will direct this course ensuring that specific drawing skills are nurtured and strengthened, and that a foundation is provided for future drawing. Continual demonstration, instruction and historical references will support this progression.
Materials to involve: pencil, charcoal, pastel and ink.
