Rezerection Crew
You may have noticed the page has been very quiet lately, we have had so much going on in the background and have been working tirelessly to decide the best way to move forward with our event.
In December 2022 The City of Edinburgh Council refused to grant a licence for a dance event that was due to take place at the Royal Highland Centre, as they bizarrely considered it to be a high risk event, although there are other music events scheduled to take place at the venue throughout the year. Although we love the Royal Highland Centre as a venue and think that it provides the perfect backdrop for our event, we dont want to take the chance and run the risk of a similar last-minute cancellation due to the Edinburgh City Council not issuing us a licence and Police Scotland concern.
We have therefore made the decision to re-schedule Rezerection which was due to take place on Saturday 6th May at The Royal Highland Centre, to Saturday 12th August at Braehead Arena And Waterfront in Glasgow.
We will certainly look to return to The Royal Highland Centre in the future, but
by moving Rezerection now, this allows us to see how the land lies with the City of Edinburgh Council granting licences for other dance events that are in the planning process and more importantly stops us from having to potentially cancel the event at very short notice which would be catastrophic not just for us as promoters but also for you guys as ticket buyers, and the last thing we want is to let anyone down.
Please be assured that we are 100% committed to putting on this event.
We cannot wait to bring Rezerection to Glasgow, its the perfect venue to host our event, we will have indoor and outdoor arenas beside the River Clyde, a spectacular light show with no expense spared and the most incredible line-up with more acts still to be announced, this is going to be an event you will never forget, what better way to spend a warm summer evening than dancing the night away to all your favourite acts, this is going to be the best summer event of the year.
We realise that some may be disappointed with this decision but we do hope you can understand and that we are unfortunately at the mercy of the Police Scotland and the City of Edinburgh Council. The decision to relocate Rezerection to Glasgow wasn’t taken lightly.
