On Sunday 17 May 2026, the annual Gryffe Valley Rotary 10K, along with a 5K and fun children’s runs, takes place around Houston, Bridge of Weir and Kilmacolm.
Hosted by the Gryffe Valley Rotary Club, this springtime classic kicks off with:
- Kids’ fun runs from 11:45 am, with categories for under‑7s and 7–11s – a great chance for tiny sneakers to shine.
- 5K race at 1:10 pm, perfect for beginners or those chasing a shorter PB.
- 10K main event starting at 1:00 pm, coursing through quiet country roads and footpaths across the Gryffe Valley.
Race Format & Facilities
- Chip timing and official Scottish Athletics licence ensure competitive runners get accurate results.
- Every finisher earns a medal and official finish time.
- Awards include overall winners, age‑category prizes (16–17, under‑16), Over‑60s, plus four‑person team trophies.
- On‑the‑day registration, accessible parking, changing & toilet facilities, and a warm post‑run welcome with home‑baking, tea, coffee and water in the church halls.
Race Base
The hub for race-day operations is at West Church Halls, Houston, PA6 7EL, adjacent to the public park, which hosts the start/finish lines, kids runs, and the post-race social.

- Minimum age for 10K is 11 years, under-16s require adult supervision.
