Renfrew Pipe Band Competition

Saturday 22 July, 2023

Renfrew Pipe Band Competition returns to Robertson Park.

Get ready for the skirl of the bagpipes and the beat of the drum, as Renfrew Pipe Band Competition returns on Saturday 22 July, 12pm – 5pm.

Robertson Park will come alive with pipe bands from across Scotland and loads of family activities for all ages. Try local delights at the food village and take a ride on the funfair. Transform yourself with some creative facepainting or learn new circus skill at our interactive workshops. There will be something for everyone at this great local celebration.

For those coming for the bands, it looks to be another exciting competition. Judges from the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association will be scoring the bands on their performances across various grades. There will be performances throughout the day.

The highlight for many visitors will be the massed-bands March Past, where all the competing bands play as one. This year the March Past will take place at 4.30pm followed by the prize-giving with the Chieftain.

Entry is free.

To help ease congestion around the park, free car parking is available at St James Primary School, 10 Brown Street S, Renfrew PA4 8HL. The school is just a five-minute walk from the event site.

Date: Saturday 22 July 2023

Time: 12pm – 5pm

Venue: Robertson Park, Renfrew

Volunteer to help at major events

For each event, we need volunteers to help us out. There are lots of different roles for our events volunteers.

Volunteering is a great way to get skills and experience in working at major events. It’s also a great way of getting out and about, meeting new and like-minded people, and making a valuable contribution to your community.
