Trace your family history and relax in the quiet of the Heritage Centre. Heritage Services run free family history surgeries to help you research, with friendly and experienced staff at hand to help you get started.

Explore the origins of your name and activities of your ancestors – who knows what you will find?

The great resources available also let you dive into the local history of Renfrewshire, its people and places, from the earliest times to the present day. With huge archives and resources, this is a fantastic opportunity for historians, students and people who want to know a little more.

Opening times:

Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday: 9am – 5pm
Tuesday and Thursday: 9am – 8pm
Sunday: Closed.

Accessibility:

The library is adjacent to Paisley Museum where there is a side door providing access from 9am until 4.15pm, except on a Saturday when the side door is opened at 10am. Please phone in advance for disabled parking.

A 10-minute walk from Paisley Gilmour Street Station
