Finlaystone Country Estate

Finlaystone Estate woods, play areas, gardens, shop and toilets are now open. The cafe is open for takeaway at the weekend.

With imaginative play areas, woodland walks, picnic areas, colourful gardens, tumbling waterfalls, events, activities and remarkable history, Finlaystone offers family fun in abundance.

The Finlaystone Estate comprises of approximately 140 acres of woodlands with walking trails varying in length and difficulty, BBQ and picnic areas, incredible wildlife and nature including trees well over 400 years old. Don’t worry, you won’t get lost! Maps and further information are available at the visitor centre.

A huge variety of events take place at Finlaystone, including Ranger-led activities. Their aim is to promote an understanding and appreciation of the natural environment adding to an enjoyable experience.

Finlaystone Country Estate is an established attraction managed by the family of the Chief of the Clan MacMillan, who welcome visitors with open arms. The estate, with its spectacular views across the Firth of Clyde, is open all year and is situated on the A8, just 10 minutes west of Glasgow Airport.

Whether your visit is for some fresh air, to get away from it all, a place for the kids to led off some steam, a venue for a family picnic, barbecue or birthday party, or just to take the dog for a walk; you will leave feeling you had a very special day.

Opening times
Estate: Every day of the year, 10am – 5pm

Visitor Centre and Shop: April – September, 11am – 5pm and October – March, 11am – 4pm

Tearoom: Weekends, school and bank holidays only, 10am – 5pm

Cost
£3.50 for Child and Concession and £5 for Adult. Annual memberships are available.

Food/drink
Hot and cold food available at The Garden Cafe. Also available for functions and corporate events.

Getting there
Langbank Railway Station is 1.5 miles from Finlaystone Country Estate.

Accessibility
The gardens are fully accessible but care should be taken with wheelchairs & buggies in the play areas and on the ‘Red Trail’.
