Renfrew

The historic county town and ‘Cradle of the Stewarts’ has lots to offer visitors.

The town is famed for its early links with the former Royal house.

The stunning A-listed mid-Victorian Renfrew Town Hall is often referred to as the ‘Disney Castle’ for its distinctive tower. It should be your starting point. Home to a VisitScotland 4-star rated community museum, this is the place to learn more of Renfrew’s rich heritage.

The town is also ideally-placed for exploring the attractive Clyde Waterfront and Renfrew Riverside area.

Other attractions in Renfrew include the Bascule Bridge (the only opening bascule bridge in Scotland) and the beautiful Robertson Park which offers various amenities and activities including a duck pond, floral gardens, a BMX course and a skate park.

Renfrew has excellent links to the M8 motorway. The Renfrew Ferry is a daily passenger ferry service linking Renfrew and Yoker.
