Towns and villages across Renfrewshire are getting in to the festive spirit by switching on their Christmas Lights.

Friday 22 November
Erskine
Erskine’s Christmas Lights will be switched on at 7.15pm in Bridgewater Shopping Centre with music and community stalls from 6:45pm-8pm.
Saturday 23 November
Elderslie
Elderslie’s annual Christmas Fayre kicks off at 3pm with a variety of stalls, Christmas crafts and Santa’s Grotto in the Village Hall. Don’t miss carols, mince pies and mulled wine at 6.15pm before the town’s Christmas Lights are switched on at 6:30pm.
Renfrew
Renfrew’s Christmas celebrations return to the town centre this year from 12 noon. The day promises festive fun for all the family with a Christmas market, funfair, street entertainment and live performances throughout the day. Provost Cameron’s annual Carol Concert with the Renfrew Burgh Band will be held in Renfrew Town Hall at 3.30pm, before the town’s lights are switched on at 5pm.
Monday 25 November
Langbank
Langbank’s Christmas Lights will be switched on in the village at 7pm.
Wednesday 27 November
Bishopton
Pop down to Bishopton Community Centre and join the local community to switch on the village’s Christmas Lights. There’s carols and light refreshments available before the lights are switched on at 7pm.
Thursday 28 November
Paisley
Mark the beginning of the month-long festive activity in Paisley with live on-stage entertainment from local groups and musicians in Paisley Town Centre from 2.30pm. The town’s Christmas Lights will be switched on at 5.30pm, opening the popular under-cover ice rink and funfair for the festive season.
Friday 29 November
Howwood
Howwood’s Christmas Lights will be switched on at 7pm from The Triangle on Midton Road.
Saturday 30 November
Johnstone
Johnstone’s Houstoun Square will be a hub of festive activity from 1pm. Don’t miss the St Vincent’s Christmas Market, festive photo opportunities, a funfair and live entertainment from the bandstand before the town’s lights are switched on at 5pm.
Lochwinnoch
Lochwinnoch’s Christmas Lights will be switched on at 6.30pm.
Sunday 1 December
Houston
Join Houston Community Council on Main Street from 4.30pm for the annual Houston Switch On event! There’s live entertainment and a raffle before the lights are switched on at 6pm.
Monday 2 December
Kilbarchan
Kilbarchan’s Christmas Lights will be switched on at 7.45pm.
Friday 6 December
Inchinnan
Inchinnan’s annual Christmas Tree Switch On will take place at 6.30pm and followed by a Christmas Tree Service in Inchinnan Parish Church.
