The world’s leading premium gin, Bombay Sapphire is set to celebrate Glasgow creatives next month with a new artist collaboration called myCANVAS.
Part of Bombay’s global mission to engage their inner creativity and unlock their creative potential, they’ve chosen Glasgow artist, Charlie Anderson to launch this exciting new initiative at an interactive artist showcase event at SWG3 on October 6th.
Designed to inspire self-expression, guests to the event can experience mixology as an art form, alongside bespoke modern art by top artist and screen printer, Charlie Anderson. Charlie will be creating a bold, original piece of art, especially for the event that will feature on the night.
Getting hands-on with the artistically fulfilling process of screen printing, guests to the event will experience a masterclass from Charlie and take home their own artwork creation.
Charlie Anderson is a Glasgow-based painter and printmaker with work exhibited internationally including at the V&A Museum in London. He has worked with Ringo Starr, Coach NY, Urban Outfitters, Amir Khan and Gordon Ramsay amongst others, and he has been shortlisted for the Jerwood contemporary painting prize (2010) and awarded the Meyer Oppenheim prize by the Royal Scottish Academy (2010).
The multi sensory complimentary experience is taking place exclusively at SWG3 for one night on October 6th from 6pm. Whilst there, guests can enjoy a range of extraordinarily smooth and perfectly balanced Bombay Sapphire serves including a fruity Bombay Bramble, a zesty Negroni using Bombay Sapphire Premier Cru, a classic Collins using Bombay Citron Pressé and finished with Bombay edible paint, alongside Bombay Sapphire G&Ts.
Award-winning chef Craig Grozier will also be creating imaginative canapés under his Fallachon Dining brand, which Grozier established in 2012 to produce bespoke menus for private parties and events, cooking food influenced by his work all over the world.
myCANVAS will also be soundtracked by DJ Bessa and guests will be able to take away an exclusive limited edition printed postcard of the commissioned art as a memento of the evening.
