Prolific, revered, and highly influential, Detroit-bred Jeff Mills is one of the biggest names in techno. A founding member of noted Motor City institution Underground Resistance, Mills helped build the artist roster and label ideology (as well as much of its back catalog) with partners Mike Banks and Robert Hood during the late 80s and early 90s.
An active figure for over four decades, Mills’ influence on techno – and music as a whole, cannot be overstated. His pioneering work at the Lady, Cheeks, and other Motor City night spots in the early 80s has served as inspiration for countless DJs, and artists throughout the world today.
