This four-week course will develop a wide range of skills in drawing, printmaking and sculpture. It is jam packed with exciting projects, encouraging children to experiment with different materials and ideas to stimulate their creative development, offering a variety of fun and engaging drawing and making techniques.
Over the duration of the course, each week will focus on a new project and skill base, including:
– Experimental drawing
– Basic printmaking
– Model building
– Mask-making
The course has been designed with tasks and skills that will engage young minds and keep them motivated and enthusiastic, ending with finished pieces that can proudly be taken home to display.

Gwenan Davies is an artist based in Glasgow, working with drawing, painting and writing. She graduated from Bard College in Annandale-on-Hudson, New York, in 2019 with an MFA in painting, and has an MRes Creative Practices from GSA, graduating in 2011. She has exhibited both nationally and internationally, and has curated The Drawing Show and Gwenan International events. She has taught workshops for a diverse range of groups, through Studio Pavilion and Platform and as part of the Threadlines series. She has also worked with fashion set-designers, making sets and window displays for companies in both Glasgow and London.
