Welcome to Season One of The Glasgow Barons, Govan’s Own Orchestra. Our Govan Reminiscence Group is thirty years old and to celebrate, award winning young singer, Norrie MacIver, performs new folk songs written in collaboration with them. Raw, soulful composer Bill Sweeney swathes us in his unique Celtic sound from the Isles.   Dvořàk’s majestic Serenade completes our journey from Heaven to Earth. Conducted by Artistic Director, Paul MacAlindin.
