Est. 2001, Glasgows Northern Soul club returns on vinyl only welcoming Stafford legend, Guy Hennigan for what he hinted ‘might’ be his last Scottish appearance as he contemplates winding down a bit. We’re sceptical about that. Guy retains all the passion and commitment he had decades ago when he was part of a second wave of innovative DJs that assured a future for rare 60s. Very special guest for the event is Colin Law, a good friend of our headliner and co-owner of North Broad Street Records, Scotland’s exclusive label pressing rare, unissued gems from the golden age of Soul music. During the 1980s Colin was one of the most successful DJs based in Scotland to play across the UK.

The Beech Avenue Social (former Rolls Royce Club)1 Beech Ave, Glasgow G41 5DF, our new venue, has been in the crosshairs for a number of years, and among the promotions teams is thought to be the best venue remaining for Northern Soul in Glasgow. At its heart, an old-fashioned social club, but tastefully refurbished and designed for Soul with a large wooden dancefloor and comfortable seating. Since the introduction of the Low Emissions Zone in the city centre, and increasing cost of taxi journeys, excellent public transport links and spacious car park outside the LEZ make it ideal for both local and travellers.
