Paisley Learning and Cultural Hub will be a new, modern community and educational facility in the town centre.

Paisley Central Library was located within Paisley Museum. In its new home, it will stand as an icon on the high street, attracting more people into the town centre and the venue.

The new hub complements other investment by Renfrewshire Council in the town centre. These include the nearby Secret Collection museum store and ongoing work to help property owners restore historic buildings.

Paisley Learning and Cultural Hub will be a digitally-connected home for a range of services.

Paisley Town Hall

Paisley Town Hall will once again be the striking centrepiece at the heart of town life.

The improved town hall will attract more and bigger performances. In turn, that will bring more people to Paisley.

There will be state-of-the-art technical facilities, There will be a screening room, main hall with seating over three floors for 700 delegates and eight unique breakout spaces.

Paisley Arts Centre

Paisley Arts Centre is currently undergoing an amazing transformation.

Everything is designed to enhance accessibility, comfort and facilities.

The bar/foyer area will be bigger with an extension out front. Wheelchair accessible spaces will be available on the first floor.

Artists are central to the creative life of the building.  Brand-new backstage facilities for visiting performers will make them feel welcome in Paisley.

The studio space will be available for rehearsals and developing new work. A smaller, multi-purpose function room can be turned to a variety of uses. Outside, a remodelling of the pavement and outdoor space will open up the Arts Centre. It will make the building more accessible.

Work on the building includes:

  • Comprehensive internal remodelling of the existing building, over four floors.
  • An attractive ground-and-first-floor frontage with a modern look. It complements the High Street surroundings and preserves the historic features on the building’s upper floors
  • Children’s library with areas for areas for reading, play, storytelling and learning.
  • IT areas and suite – offering free public digital access in the heart of the town centre.
