Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park

Looking to get outdoors and find things to do in Renfrewshire?

Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park is an incredible place to relax and unwind, or have an adventure-filled day out with the family – the  range of outdoor activities is tremendous.

Explore the park and the exciting wildlife within it as you walk, jog, cycle, kayak and sail the area.

For water sports, there is easy access to the spacious but safe and shallow Castle Semple Loch, with no speedboats to disturb you. Launch your own dinghy, windsurf, canoe, or join one of the boating clubs to learn some cool skills above the water.

If you would rather relax and soak up the atmosphere while the kids play, you can do that too. Enjoy BBQ or picnic sites and the wonderful views of an ever changing landscape, or pop along to the  cafes and visitor centres that showcase the local wildlife and host local history exhibitions

All make up a memorable day in the countryside!

The Visitor Centre hosts lots of events and has a small exhibition on the history of Castle Semple Estate – it includes an impressive full size map from 1785.
