We’ve got lots of holiday fun this October with plenty of fun activities and things to do for kids and families.

Suitcase Stories – The Little Toy
Thursday 19 October

£2 / £7 group of 4 including workshop

Two children play on a beach, and when they leave suddenly, Little Toy is left behind. A butterfly helps him find his way to the children’s new home. But first, there is a sea monster to deal with…

A tiny show for 3-5 year olds and their adults. The entire story takes place within a suitcase. Themes explored are family, travel, play, loss, very mild peril, moving away, growing food, community.

Thursday 19 October

£2 / £7 group of 4

Inspired by the Brothers Grimm fairy tale, this show for 5-7 year olds tells the story of Ada, a young girl who is visited by a Raven and thrust into a dream world of quests, feathers and a Glass Mountain. Why are the birds gathering? And what is the secret that Ada learns about her past?

The audience is taken on a tiny world adventure over an extraordinary, felted landscape as Ada unlocks the secret the Raven is trying to tell her.

The children will be encouraged to explore fun ways of getting to know each other and of working together, to find creative responses to games-based challenges, and learn exciting cooperative games to take into their own play.

Creative Play – a fun and exciting play-based experience for ages 5-7.


 

Eco Drama presents
The Whirlybird
Friday 20 October

£3 / group of 4 £10 including workshop and free activity pack

An uplifting theatre show for children aged 3 – 7.  Featuring movement, music, bird song, puppetry and lots of things that spin! A curious creature, ricketie-racketie on ground but in flight, a wildlife spectacle. A blizzard of wings, perfect elliptical twirls, a mass of orange and browns and a cacophony of sound! Followed by Q&A and Stay & Play.
