After a successful launch night at Club 69 with Quail we are back again with a heavy line up for you to enjoy once more. Introduction to the darker side of techno begins at one of Glassgow’s intimate spaces, Showing Mörker’s eclectic taste in techno is an idea which have nurtured through out the years, this event series is focused on showing a plethora of idiosyncrasy by inviting artists that have helped grow the musical pallet as well as inviting you on a journey.
Morker also know as ‘Darkness’ in Swedish is the brainchild of Rukshan, starting his career as a DJ in 2009 under the alias ‘Ruki’, he was involved in many underground events as well as projects developing and building his trademark as a reputable DJ/Producer. His diverse taste of music has given him the edge of being one of the most consistent and versatile DJ’s in our generation. His latest project is no exception as he is determined to bring a fresh new outlook to Glasgow with his signature Rolling and hypnotic style of techno.
Kairogen
The word Kairogen created by the artist, comes from the Greek word kairos (the right, critical or opportune moment) and gen (to generate or create). The Glasgow-based producer first came across music production whilst studying at art school, after a lecturer suggested creating a sound piece to fit alongside an installation project. Her love of club culture inspired artistic research focussed on Detroit techno and electronic music as an art form. In the coming years she would spend her time making album art & working in Sub Club, gaining an understanding of the electronic music scene and developing her own musical tastes.
Theo Nasa
Our Special Guest is Theo Nasa. He is a purveyor of weird, animated, rough, melodramatic techno with supreme body catching patterns and sounds. An artist without any limits, Theo surrounds himself with all forms of music and takes inspiration from the deepest corners of many genres. meticulously crafted yet eccentric productions first saw the light in 2013 on Mokujin Recordings before dropping an array of releases on his imprint and his first-ever vinyl on Andy Blakes World Unknown imprint in 2018 which sold out in Tokyo and Detroit within a few months. A regular feature on UK airwaves over the years, His music has been supported regularly on Rinse FM and in 2019 his single received a play on Nastias BBC Radio 1 show amongst an assortment of heavyweight producers. 2020 was a powerful year for HIm, releasing his EP on vinyl and digital on Radio Slaves Imprint REKIDS that has been supported by Carl Cox, Monika Kruse, Amelie Lens, Nicole Moudaber, Skream and many more. With a energetic start to 2021, He has featured on Alan Fitzpatricks ‘We Are The Brave Radio’ series, plus created outstanding mixes for FOLD LDN, Vox Nox & Korpus9 Radio to name a few.
